Head Men’s & Women’s Basketball Coach | PHCC DII

As Penn Highlands Community College’s (PHCC’s) Head Men’s Basketball Coach, Coach Weakley succeeded in winning back-to-back Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (WPCC) Championships and NJCAA Region 20 Championships for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons including PHCC’s first ever Region 20 Championship!! Coach Weakley’s players earned six All-Conference and six All-Region selections, as well as Region 20 DIII Player of the Month and NJCAA DIII National Player of the Week.

In April 2026, Coach Weakley was named PHCC’s new Head Women’s Basketball Coach, launching their first Women’s Basketball program in 25 years for the 2026-27 season. Both Men’s and Women’s Basketball programs, led by Coach Weakley, will compete at the NJCAA DII level beginning with their 2026-27 season.

“Success is a result of dedicated and disciplined effort, perseverance, commitment and responsibility while pursuing academic and athletic excellence.  I strive to build successful programs with purpose and growth, as well as establish a mindset to help drive student athletes to pursue and reach their full potential by developing mental toughness and focus while realizing team and personal academic and athletic goals, growing student athletes’ basketball IQs and skills to highly competitive levels..  As a Coach, I exhibit strong leadership and teach at the highest levels, valuing the fundamentals of the game with team concept and delivering results by creating and refining a culture of integrity and excellence in academics and athletics, as well as in the community.”

2025-26 Championships and Coach of the Year

As the Penn Highlands Community College Head Coach for the 2025-26 Season, Coach Weakley won the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Championship and NJCAA Region 20 Championship for a second year in a row!! Coach Weakley was also named Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference and NJCAA Region 20 “Coach of the Year” again!!

2024-25 Championships and Coach of the Year

As the first-year Head Coach at Penn Highlands Community College, Coach Weakley won the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Championship 2024-25 and made history securing their first ever NJCAA Region 20 Championship. Coach Weakley was also named Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference and NJCAA Region 20 “Coach of the Year”!!
